Road Peace
Road peace inspired us with their name – the name Alternative Olympic Torch Relay for road peace. We have a main common goal and we rely on them for the most relevant information about campaigning to increase road safety.
We are the national charity for road crash victims. Our members include those who have been bereaved or injured in crashes and also those who are concerned about road danger.
We are the only member based charity for road crash victims in the UK, and the only one with local groups. We provide both supportfor existing victims and work to prevent future victims by campaigning for road danger reduction.
We are independent with the majority of our funding coming from our members and supporters, often bereaved families. We are pioneering and have led the way in campaigning for the rights of road crash victims and road danger reduction.
We are evidence based and are the only road safety related charity in the UK to have produced a systematic review for the Cochrane Collaboration.
Wheels for welbeing Wheels for wellbeing helped plan the UK route – Thank you Roger Crosskey WFW also will help us by organising a big welcoming party and greet the finalists of the road cycling race, that the Olympics will start with. WFW inspire us with their incredible work in supporting people with disabilities to become more mobile.
Wheels for Wellbeing is a charity which supports disabled people to cycle in London. Whatever impairment, long term health condition or disability you have, we can help with your cycle query. If you live locally, you could come to our cycling sessions.
For help looking for a cycle for yourself please see the Our Cycles page and for funding information please download our Funding Factsheet.
The UK National Cyclists' Organisation CTC, the UK’s largest cycling charity, inspires and helps people to cycle and keep cycling, whatever kind of cycling they do or would like to do. Over a century’s experience tells us that cycling is more than useful transport; it makes you feel good, gives you a sense of freedom and creates a better environment for everyone.
• We provide expert, practical help and advice.
• We support individuals and communities.
• We protect cyclists’ interests.
• We campaign to make cycling mainstream and to remove the things that stop people cycling.
• We help people develop the confidence and skills to cycle.
• We promote the benefits of cycling to individuals, to society and to the economy.
Loco2 will help us with promoting the marathon and helping us book the best train tickets for the journey back
Loco2 is here to make Europe by train easy. With our Journey Search we’re trying to make the process of booking European trains simpler, quicker, and altogether more straightforward. We love European train travel and want to make it accessible to everyone, both in terms of ease of booking and in terms of price. That is our mission. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re proud of our progress so far, and we’re going to keep at it until it’s complete.
Factor Foundation
Adopted us in Bulgaria.  We stand fully behind the work of FF and we are very grateful for all the support they have given in organising this event. They will coordinate the Bulgarian part of the tour and will help us get the right media attention in Bulgaria.
Factor Foundation was registered as a non-for-profit organisation on 13.08.2009. It is one of the most prolific non-governmental organisations in Bulgaria due to a fabulous team of people sharing common values and aims: To inspire and encourage eco and cycling tourism by running various cycling and tourist projects: Varna Green Tour, Sofia Green Tour, Istanbul Free Tour, Velomood, Bike Tours Social, Bike Carnival and many others. Factor foundation promotes road safety and actively campaigns to improve conditions and building new and better infrastructure for Eco tourism and cycling.
Bulgarian Association for the victims of road crashes BAZK will support us by organising the Departure party. We support their work in improving the legislation and the infrastructure that relates to road safety. They are one of the few organizations in Bulgaria, which offer legal help and represent victims of road crashes.
We believe that movement is freedom. Road traffic is movement and it must be safe!
We shouldn’t be suffering human losses while being free, we shouldn’t die at times of peace, life is priceless and very fragile.
The traffic victims’ count will only drop only if the government, all institutions, businesses and all citizens unite efforts to improve road safety.

The most important factor that would help reduce the number of casualties is in our hands – it depends on our tolerance to each participant on the road and respect of road rules.
